Using
state-of-the-art computer controlled equipment,
we manufacture, resharpen and recondition perf
and panel dies, wing knives and cut-off knives
for your MO machines. Whether it's single or multiple
mounting, we accurately locate the dies on precision
holders and sharpen them. If needed, we will permanently
shim the dies before resharpening to maintain
original die height. Wing knives are tested in
pairs on a specifically designed fixture. All
dies are tested using actual production procedures
to assure flawless performance. |

Windy City Cutting Die, manufactures, resharpens
and reconditions panel dies for all machine manufacturers.
Most panel dies are available from our stock for
same day delivery. If needed, we will permanently
shim the dies before sharpening to maintain original
die height. We will also shim your regular and
high-speed cut-off knives, when needed. All dies,
side knives, wing knives and cut-off knives are
tested using actual procedures to assure flawless
performance. We also manufacture printing cylinders
for RO machines. Rotary window gummers are available
for next day delivery. |

Whether

for in your 102 panel dies, we at Windy City Cutting
Die, will manufacture, resharpen or recondition
them to meet or exceed the original equipment
manufacturer's specifications. All dies and knives
are tested using actual production procedures
before shipment. Most wing knife sets are produced
and shipped with holders (not shown in photo to
the left). We manufacture window gummer cylinders
and side seam gummers for permanent gluing or
to use with latex glues. Either type is available
for next day delivery. |

Our
state-of-the-art computer controlled techniques
are used in the manufacturing of the 241 dies
achieving ultimate precision. After hardening,
each die is hand sharpened and tested before wrapping
for shipment.
Cut-off
knives are produced of materials specified by
the original manufacturer. Cut-off knives are
machined, stress relieved, precision ground and
tested before shipment to customer. |

All
of our envelope dies are hand forged the traditional
way by blacksmiths who are seasoned craftsmen.
The dies are formed from beveled bar stock for
longevity and stress relieved to minimize the
possibility of stress cracks. Each design is made
to the customer's specifications or their samples.
The
dies are highly polished by hand or teflon coated
according to customer preference.
Minimum
punch window die size is 3/8" x 1".
Maximum size is whatever your press can handle. |
